Adjara
Adjara is located on the south-eastern coast of the Black Sea and extends into the wooded foothills and mountains of the Lesser Caucasus. It has borders with the region of Guria to the north, Samtskhe-Javakheti to the east and Turkey to the south. Most of Adjara's territory either consists of hills or mountains. The highest mountains rise more than 3,000 meters (9,840 ft) above sea level. Around 60% of Adjara is covered by forests. Many parts of the Meskheti Range (the west-facing slopes) are covered by temperate rain forests. Adjara is traversed by the northeasterly line of equal latitude and longitude.

Kobuleti is distinguished with its particular microclimate among other climatic resorts. It is situated south-west to the Adjara-Akhaltsikhe highland, on Kolkheti plain, 25 km from Batumi. It is only 3-4 m above sea-level. The main medicinal factor of the resort is the warm and humid climate of the Black Sea. In order to produce maximum therapeutic effect, thalassotherapy and other medicinal procedures are successfully combined here.
Kobuleti is an important tourist centre on the Georgian Black Sea littoral. The holiday-makers are particularly attracted by its famous long sandy beach which is very convenient for sunbathing. While industries of the city include shipbuilding, food processing, and light manufacturing, most of its economy revolves around tourism.
The original Batumi Dolphinarium was founded in 1974 and was one of the main attractions of Batumi for many years. People from different countries came to see dolphins perform a show and do magnificent tricks. The dolphinarium stopped working for some time, but now the government of Adjara decided to bring back the tradition and build a new dolphinarium. Seven dolphins found their new home.

Ureki (Georgian: ურეკი) is a town and a seaside climatic resort in the Ozurgeti District of Georgia’s Guria region, on the Black Sea coast. Situated 10 km away from Batumi and approximately 300 km away from the nation’s capital Tbilisi Ureki is the unique climatic health resort on the picturesque shore of the Black Sea in Georgia, which is famous for its beaches with magnetic sand and to which there is no analog in the world.
